TONES OF GREEN
The new season’s biggest colour trend is green, ranging from neon greens to dark forest greens. The key statement colour of SS20 is neon green, inspired from athleisure and are all over SS19 catwalks. Neon green suits bold shapes and looks great paired with smoke lenses. For a more commercial approach, make the frame a dark green shade with matching green lenses.
2ND FEBRUARY 2019
Nude is always a commercial hit, and this shows no sign of decreasing momentum. SS20 sees nude in a variety of shades, including darker nude tones fringed with brown, orange and peach pigments. Matching milky or crystal nude frames to tonal nude lenses is a great way to do this colour trend. A commercial way to do this is using rose gold metal with matching mirror lens for a glamorous, on-trend look.
30TH JANUARY 2019
With a massive presence on the catwalk, vibrant blues are a must-have trend. Blue lenses specifically are key for SS20, with variations in shades and gradients. For the fashion forward styles, match the frame to the blue lenses, or contrast with black frames for a bold look. Silver, gold, or black metal frames are a more commercial way to appease this trend.

A key colour in both women’s and men’s styles, this colour will be huge in SS18 & 19. A mix of caramel and honey tones can be paired with a variety of coloured lenses such as brown, smoke, and tobacco. This colour trend works well in rich crystal or milky frames, emphasised with tortoiseshell or horn effects.

The colour of instagram, this shade shows no sign of slowing momentum. Millennial pink is soft, fun, and girly, with the colour becoming a phenomenon with the under-25 demographic. So as to not overdo this trend, shades are differentiating themselves mixing millennial pink with pastel pink, nude tones, and soft rose.
6TH FEBRUARY 2018
Gone are the days of black as the key 'go to' colour. Paired with smoke lens, solid white is a great accessories colour, perfect for summer. It's light enough to commercialise even the boldest of shapes, yet bold enough to provide the perfect silhouette.
3RD FEBRUARY 2018
This is a major feel good, summer vibe colour! The light purple shade lends itself well to styles of matching frame and lens -which is becoming increasingly popular. Lilac compliments all skin tones and can be adjusted slightly in shades towards mauve and pastel purple, working well as a bright, fun style in retail.

With the rise of popularity in red within fashion, darker hues are now emerging. Rich and darker tones such as wine and burgundy allow for more commercial and palatable styles, with red providing a bold statement.
